FashionSustain Thinkathon

17.02. – 18.02.2018 Kraftwerk Berlin

Within the framework of the Berlin Fashion Week 2018, the old Kraftwerk Berlin became the largest green hub for fair fashion and sustainable lifestyle in Europe with the two trade visitor fairs Greenshowroom & Ethical Fashion Show Behind the scenes, a two-day thinkathon took place during which 28 lateral thinkers from different scientific, economic and creative fields dealt with the textile of the future ("Stoff der Zukunft").

Prof. Friederike von Wedel-Parlow was part of the "Green Team" for the Fashion Council Challenge under the motto: "How can we innovate education and mentorship, so that designers can embrace new sustainable technologies? In her presentation, the team proposed a curated exchange platform that would serve as a catalyst for innovation and talent in fashion education.
