Beneficial Design Institute supports Manufactum in the implementation of positively defined clothing: Active Wear +, Cradle to Cradle certified clothing and textile products. Starting with a study project in the master program "Sustainability in Fashion" at Esmod Berlin, holistic clothing concepts were developed and first prototypes designed. The project was presented with a traveling exhibition at the department store of Manufactum in Cologne, at the international conference of Textile Exchange in Hamburg, at the Kunstmuseum in Frankfurt and at the Greenshowroom in Berlin. Selected products are now being implemented throughout the entire system: made of healthy material, where all ingredients are known and positively defined, and manufactured under fair and clean conditions. The take-back system and the reuse of the materials are also integrated in the concept and will be on the market in Spring/Summer 2018.
