The Fair Fashion Guide is a plea for the closet of the future and is designed to encourage people to live fashion with a clear conscience. Like a fashion magazine, it aims to inspire, celebrate fair fashion and at the same time stimulate reflection and change in consumer behavior. With interviews, fashion segments and tips for re-styling, in a visual language which the young target group is familiar with from customary print publications.
Friederike von Wedel-Parlow and Nicole Hardt developed the concept for the Fair Fashion Guide together:
For the research they travelled to Copenhagen and interviewed Elin Larsson, Sustainibility Manager of Filippa K, talked to Britta Steinmann and wrote features about quality and closed loop as concepts for the future in fashion. During the Berlin Fashion Week they met experts for sustainable fashion and talked with them about the essentials of fashion, redesign, care & repair and return. The cover and the fashion story shoot were accompanied by a team of fashion photographers, camera and sound experts, editors, stylists and make-up artists.
